More About this Project

A leading integrated healthcare system sought to upgrade the functionality and protection of the tablet devices used across its ambulatory vehicle fleet. In such a fast-paced, high-demand environment, the organization required a rugged case and docking solution that could withstand the rigors of mobile healthcare operations. The goal was to ensure that tablets remained secure, accessible, and operational in transit—supporting emergency workflows without compromising on durability or ease of use across various vehicle configurations.
CTA Digital provided a wireless charging case and docking system specifically designed to meet the demands of a mobile healthcare environment. The solution offered the flexibility for staff to quickly remove the tablet for handheld use and seamlessly return it to the dock, where it would begin charging inductively—eliminating the need for cables and minimizing clutter in tight or fast-moving spaces.
The docking base was designed for easy surface mounting, allowing for smooth integration into the existing vehicle interiors without complex modifications. Most importantly, the system was engineered with durability and security in mind—ensuring the tablet remained firmly in place during transport, even when traversing rough terrain or uneven roads. This solution provided both the mobility and stability the healthcare provider needed to support their frontline teams in the field.
CTA Digital successfully delivered approximately 60 wireless charging case and dock units for deployment across the healthcare provider’s ambulance fleet. The goal was to equip each vehicle with a reliable, always-ready tablet system to support EMTs and paramedics in delivering critical care on the move.
The customer reported highly positive feedback, noting improved operational readiness and confidence in the durability of the mounting system. In their words: “We are currently using the CTA induction case and mounts to place iPads to run apps that aid paramedics and EMTs in providing care to patients. This has given us the ability to have the iPads always charged and ready for immediate use. The mounts are secured to the ambulance using screws and seem very durable so far. We have not had any issues with the iPads falling off.”
