Where tablets work in healthcare

Five places we see devices deployed across hospitals, clinics and ambulatory fleets, each with the problem it solves and the two mounts we'd start with.

  1. Locking sanitizing kiosk stand in a busy lobby
    01 / 05

    Patient check-in & lobby

Shared check-in tablets walk off, get smudged, and sit at the wrong height for wheelchair users.

We'd start with See all patient check-in & lobby products
  2. Patient in bed on a video call with a tablet on a medical arm wall mount
    02 / 05

    Bedside & telehealth

Patients need a screen within reach in bed, without a cart blocking the clinician's path.

We'd start with See all bedside & telehealth products
  3. Nurse helping a patient beside a rolling medical cart with a monitor
    03 / 05

    Nurse stations & rounding carts

Charting at the point of care needs a workstation that rolls quietly, locks in place and carries the kit.

We'd start with See all nurse stations & rounding carts products
  4. Visitor taking supplies from a wall-mounted sanitizing kit box
    04 / 05

    Waiting rooms & infection control

Gloves, masks and sanitizer need a fixed, tamper-resistant home where visitors actually pass.

We'd start with See all waiting rooms & infection control products
  5. Sonographer with a display on an articulating VESA arm beside the exam table
    05 / 05

    Exam & imaging rooms

Screens beside the exam table must swing clear and survive daily disinfectant wipe-downs.

We'd start with See all exam & imaging rooms products

FAQ

Healthcare buying questions

How do I clean the medical-grade mounts?

Our medical-grade models are made for routine wipe-downs: the Anti-Microbial Medical VESA Arm (ADD-MEDARM), the Medical Arm Wall Mount with Security Enclosure (PAD-MEDARM) and the Heavy-Duty VESA Arm with Antiseptic Powder Coating (QPC-HDAVM). Follow the cleaning guidance on each product's spec sheet, and avoid abrasive pads and pooling liquid around hinges and locks.

Which products have anti-microbial or antiseptic finishes?

The Anti-Microbial Medical VESA Arm Wall Mount (ADD-MEDARM) and the Medical Arm Wall Mount with Security Enclosure (PAD-MEDARM) have an anti-microbial coating, and the Heavy-Duty Adjustable VESA Arm (QPC-HDAVM) has an antiseptic powder coating. The Height-Adjustable Rolling Medical Workstation Cart (QPAD-HRSWV) has an anti-microbial work surface.

Will the enclosure fit my iPad or Galaxy Tab?

Each product page lists the exact tablet models it fits. Most medical enclosures take current iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro 11" models plus popular Galaxy Tab sizes, and VESA versions hold any device with a 75 or 100 mm pattern. Tell us your device and we will confirm the fit before you order.

Are your kiosks and floor stands ADA-compliant?

Several floor stands are height-adjustable so the screen can sit within ADA reach ranges. Whether an installation complies depends on the mounting height and placement on site, so share your floor plan and we will recommend a setup.

Can carts and enclosures be locked?

Yes. Security enclosures lock with a key to keep tablets in place, and rolling stands such as the Medical Floor Stand with Enclosure (PAD-MFS) use locking casters so the cart stays put at the bedside.

Do you build custom or bulk solutions for health systems?

Yes. Our engineers adapt mounts and carts to your devices, cameras and workflows, and we offer volume pricing, tax-exempt ordering and evaluation samples for hospitals and health systems.
